Introduced to 3-D printing in the St. Mary School Makerspace, “The Hive”, Dylan learned how to utilize “Tinkercad” to program a 3-D printer. Intrigued by engineering and called to serve others, Dylan decided to put the 3-D printer he received for Christmas to work making plastic ear savers that relieve the stress on the backs of healthcare workers’ ears when wearing masks. He has since used his savings to buy a second printer so that he can increase production (to date he has distributed 400).
