The Class of 2019, their families, and St. Mary’s faculty attended the annual Graduation Mass on Friday, June 21, 2019. The evening began with the class Co-Presidents reflecting on their years at St. Mary School and, in particular, the feeling of family amongst their classmates. Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Bob Zilliox and Fr. Andrew Kozminski. Graduating 8th graders took part in the Mass as cantors, lectors, and gift bearers.
At the conclusion of Mass, Mrs. Mary Jo Aiken, St. Mary School Principal, awarded diplomas to the twenty-three graduates. In addition to their diploma, each student received subject-based awards designated by the teachers and a school gift.
The following special awards were also presented:
Eric T. Schneiderman, Attorney General, Triple “C” Award – in recognition of commitment, courage and character.
Thomas Di Napoli, NY State Comptroller, Award – given to those students who have served in the community with hard work, dedication and leadership.
