St. Mary School Swormville -

Have your students bring their backpacks to Mass with them on Sat. at 4 pm, or Sun. at 7:30 am, 9 am or 11 am for a special back-to-school blessing. All students of any age, and from any school are welcome to attend and receive the blessing! Students will also be invited to take a special gift home with them. Let’s make this a great school year!

Sept. 4-6th, please bring Montessori students to the classroom through the B1 Parish Center door. Please follow Phase-In schedule provided by Montessori teachers.
M5's - regular school schedule (Kindergarten students will be present all day)
 
***Beginning Sept. 9th  all students are to be dropped off at the door next to the Cafeteria, and all Montessori students will follow their regular schedule.
 

Regular schedule:
Full day - 7:45 - 2:25 pm
Half Day - 7:45 - 11:00 am

Grand Opening of School Mass with Grand Persons in our Life
✓ Who: Kindergarten-8th Grade students are welcome to invite their
grandparents or another grand person in their life to celebrate the 24-25
school year with them.
✓ When: Friday, September 6th at 9am Mass.
✓ Where: Grandparents will meet their grandchildren in the St. Mary’s school
gym at 8:45am and then can take them to the church for Mass.
✓ A sign up will be sent home on the first day of school to be returned the
next day. More specifics will be included at that time.

Altar Server Training – For those who were not able to attend the training in August, a second session has been scheduled for Saturday, September 7^th  from 10:30 to 12:30.  
Boys and girls in grade 4 and above who have received their First Communion are eligible to be trained as an altar server.  The training will be conducted by our adult server coordinator, Mr. Dick Marchessault.  It will take place in the church. Contact Donna Allan at liturgy@stmaryswormville.org if your child would like to attend.

Students who have purchased the HSA Dress Down Pass (see linked file) are invited to dress down in Buffalo Bills gear, or red, white & blue clothing. If you haven't purchased the pass and wish to dress down, please bring in $2 per student. 

The below "out of uniform" guidelines apply: 
 
STUDENTS MAY WEAR:
o jeans/track pants/sweatpants
o leggings worn as pants – leggings must be worn with a dress, skirt, or long shirt that completely covers the derriere.
o non-uniform sneakers (high tops or brightly colored sneakers may be worn)
o short socks
o shorts no shorter than three inches above the knee (between May 1st and October 31st)
o skirts no shorter than three inches above the knee.
o skorts
o sweatshirts
o dresses
o Slacks

STUDENTS MAY NOT WEAR:
o flip-flop sandals
o open back shoes
o tank tops
o t-shirts/sweatshirts with inappropriate pictures, logos, or writing.
o tennis shoes that convert to roller skates
o workout clothes
o pajama pants
o make-up
o low cut blouses/tops
o spaghetti straps or straps less than 3 fingers wide
o clothing that is extremely tight
o hats
o Crocs

Formerly the "Teacher Lunches", HSA will now be providing breakfast on the first Weds. of every month (with a few exceptions for dates). Teachers, please join us in the Main Office beginning at 7 am to reconnect & enjoy breakfast together!
