Yesterday afternoon St. Mary School families once again enjoyed one of our students' favorite fall traditions - the SMS Pumpkin Carving Party!
Generously sponsored by Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home and hosted by Spoth’s Farm Market for the last 22 years, the annual party treats our school families to a wonderful afternoon of pumpkin carving, fall treats, and fun!
Each student is invited to choose a pumpkin of their own to carve, and the safety knives, carving spoons, paper towels, and pumpkin "gook" containers are all set out and ready to use. Students can get creative with the carving while visiting with friends and classmates in the warm, cozy Spoth's greenhouse, and parents love having no mess to clean up at home!
After the pumpkins are carved, students enjoy delicious fall treats including candy bags, donut holes, popcorn and apple cider, courtesy of Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home. Our younger St. Mary's "bees" can also take part in the straw maze set up by Spoth's Farm Market, and enjoy running around a bit with their friends.
We'd like to thank Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home and Spoth’s Farm Market for continuing this wonderful tradition and generously allowing our students to carve out some fun and get ready for Halloween. The party is certainly one of the highlights of the fall for our families.
