🙏 Join us to PRAY... this St. Mary School tradition continues under the direction of Mrs. Katie Bishop with our 5th grade’s reverent presentation of the Living Stations of the Cross at 6:30 pm on Friday, 3/27 in the school gym. This is a beautiful time to reflect on our faith, & a truly moving experience. Come prepared for a reverent, prayerful start to the evening that will help focus your heart & mind in this season of Lent.
🍦🎯 Then join us to PLAY... when Stations of the Cross are done, please stay & help us raise money for a good cause during Lent... Catholic Charities! Kids of all ages can enjoy games & activities costing just 50 cents to $1. Ice cream treats will be available for $1-3. Our famous CAKE WALK also happens at this event! The kids will love going home with a
cake (or 2!) that they get to choose after being a winner at the “walk” - it’s a must do! The PIE IN THE FACE activity is also always a hit, come prepared to pie some St. Mary’s staff!
A few years ago SMS was the “Catholic Charities Cup” winner because of this event, come help us give hope to those in need in our community, & regain our title as champions!

🐝 We have another pair of #Buzzworthy student athletes to share...
🏒1st grader, Truett P.'s hockey team, the Kraken Mites, won the Buffalo Regals Mite Championship recently! Truett was asked to step in as goalie right before the semifinal game, & played goal again in the Championship game to lead the Kraken Mites to 1st place.
📣 2nd grader Isla D.'s All Star Competition Cheer Team went to Canada recently and won 1st place! The team is 2 for 2 for 1st place wins, as they also won in Syracuse in Dec. The team also competed in Pittsburgh, have a competition in Rochester this weekend, & was invited to Nationals in Ohio in April.
Great job to both of our busy, buzzworthy athletes!

Catholic Schools in NYS are required to submit proof of completing certain mandates on a yearly basis. We receive money from the state for these mandates, but over the last two years money has been eliminated from our section of the state budget and our payments were reduced by 5% each year with the promise of receiving it later that year. Tickets are $10 EACH (CASH ONLY), and will be available at the door Saturday night starting at 6 pm until they are sold out. When they’re gone they’re gone, no seats will be added. No further ticket reservations will be taken by Mrs. Baker or the school office for the Sat. evening show. If you don’t already have tickets purchased, you may try your luck at the door Saturday night!

💯🤓☀️ We had a fantastic 100th day of school this week! Students were invited to dress up as 100 year olds, or create a shirt featuring 100 items. We saw lots of creativity! Grades Pre-K through 2 enjoyed a fun filled day with "100" inspired activities, including making a necklace with 100 Froot Loops or Cheerios, completing a search and find of 100 Hershey Kisses, keeping a balloon in the air for 100 seconds, and more.
