St Mary’s/Nativity swim team had their first meet this past weekend at Grand Island HS against a combined team. Our swimmers swam fast and had a great time cheering each other on and conquering fears.
Some All Star times achieved by age group:
8u: Audrey B. 100IM, 25BA, and 25FR. Viola P. 25FR
9-10: Madelyn C. 100IM, 50FL, and 50BA
11&O: Xavier P. 200FR, CeCe S. 200FR, Elliott T. 50FR
1st Place overall finishes were achieved by: Bianca C, Audrey B, Viola P., Emerson F., Xavier P., Madelyn C., London M., Abigail M., Isabelle C., & Sloane R.
This weekend the team faces St. Ben’s at Maryvale HS Sunday morning.

Bishop Mike and Mrs. Joleen Dimitroff, Superintendent of Catholic Elementary Schools, visited St. Mary School this week! They had the chance to visit classes, speak with students, and even participate in the daily "Rise and Shine" activity with all of the students in the gym.
The youngest students had some great questions for Bishop Mike. They asked about his favorite food, how he became a bishop, what a typical day looks like for him, and why he wears a Pectoral Cross!
