We're celebrating the SMS #Classof2024 all summer long! 🐝💙🤍🎓 Patrick joined us at SMS in grade 5.  He has participated in art club, & on our basketball, bowling, soccer & math teams.  Patrick is an active boy scout & altar server, & received awards for Altar Server of the Year, Excellence in Bible Study, the President’s Award for Academic Achievement, the NYS Comptroller’s Achievement Award, & was on the High Honor Roll. Patrick also frequently serves as a volunteer for numerous organizations, including as a Catholic Youth Rally 2024 Committee Member, Troop 92 Life Scout, St. Mary’s Day of Caring Volunteer, & St. Mary's Parish Picnic Volunteer. His fondest SMS memory is the Varsity Basketball team’s undefeated 2024-25 season. Patrick will attend Canisius High School in the fall where he received a scholarship. We're celebrating the SMS #Classof2024 all summer long! 🐝💙🤍🎓 Maeve joined SMS in her 4th grade year. She participated on the swim, softball, & volleyball teams, & advanced choir.  She was also involved in drama club, acting as "Ariel" in this past Spring’s production of “The Little Mermaid Jr.”.  Maeve received awards for Excellence in Music, Excellence in Art, a Diocesan Art Award, the President’s Award for Academic Excellence, was on the school math team, & is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She is also on the High Honor Roll. Maeve credits the wide variety of extracurricular activities that she was able to participate in at SMS with teaching her some important life lessons, & forging lasting relationships: “Each school activity that I have participated in at Saint Mary’s taught me something new about maintaining a healthy, lifelong friendship. Swim taught me about trust, softball taught me about communication, volleyball taught me about teamwork, & the musicals taught me about unity. Without participating in every one of these activities, I don’t think I would have made the lifelong relationships that I made with the people at Saint Mary School.” Maeve was offered scholarships from numerous Catholic high schools, but will attend the Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart this fall. He received awards for excellence in Biology, the President’s Award for Academic Excellence, & was on the Principal’s Honor Roll, a special achievement for scholars with an average over 97%. Michael was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society & was on the school math team. His favorite SMS memory is playing Prince Eric in “The Little Mermaid Jr.”. We're celebrating the SMS #Classof2024 all summer long! 🐝💙🤍🎓 Paige joined St. Mary’s in 2020 and has been active on our softball, volleyball, and track teams.  She has also participated in Art Club and received awards for effort in Science, High Honors in the third trimester, and the President’s Award for Academic Achievement. Paige has really enjoyed how welcoming everyone was when she joined the SMS community and how close their class is. She's looking forward to lifelong friends! Last weekend the SMS Class of 1974 held it's 50th reunion in conjunction with St. Mary's Picnic! The classmates convened Saturday evening after Mass at the Chowder Chase after-party, and shared memories & laughs, as well as a tour of their Alma-mater. Mr. Jeffries, who taught the Class of '74 in third grade was also able to join the group! They visited his old classroom (now grade 2), and recounted where in the room each person's desk was. Other fond memories the group recalled on their tour included sitting in the lower elementary hallway on chairs to watch footage of the moon landing on a projector screen in 1969 when they were in grade 4, as well as getting in trouble for breaking windows in the lower level of the school while practicing hockey in the parking lot! We're celebrating the SMS #Classof2024 all summer long! 🐝💙🤍🎓 Avril came to St. Mary’s in 6th grade and became very active in the life of the school.  She participated on our school swim, volleyball, track, soccer, softball, and basketball teams.  She was also in the Art Club and drama club, had roles in school plays and musicals, and represented SMS at the Diocesan math competition on the 8th grade math team.  Avril received the New York State Comptroller’s Achievement Award, & the President’s Award for Academic Achievement at graduation, and will be attending Clarence High School in the fall. Our beloved art teacher, Mrs. Genovese took 2 students on an afternoon adventure at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery recently! This experience was won for the students at our 2024 #SpringforSucess Auction Gala. For the last day of #HappyCampers #STREAM camp, our student started with some face painting/body art, then completed an engineering design challenge with sailboats, and finally made some very awesome glow-in-the-dark lanterns!

Rising SMS 3rd grader Allison M. was a competitor in the local Drive Chip and Putt. She finished 2nd overall, 1st in Drive, and 3rd in chipping out of 14 girls! She advances to the sub- regional round next month. #buzzworthy 🐝💙🤍⛳️🏌🏻‍♀️

#Montessori Summer Adventures Camp continues this week with an #UndertheSea theme! Campers have had fun "fishing" for treasures, coloring different kinds of sea creatures, getting into the water themselves & exploring different work in the Montessori classroom. #summercamp

Today's #STREAM camp activities: our happy campers made pudding and crushed Oreos for “Worms in Dirt", then designed tents to keep their campers dry from the rain! #engineeringchallenge

Sammy will be attending Williamsville North High School next year and was a recipient of the President's Award for Academic Achievement.
