Text Scam: There is an unauthorized text circulating that claims to be from Fr. Tom Mahoney. DO NOT RESPOND, it is a scam. Please note, if our clergy had to reach you regarding an urgent matter, they would not text you.

Recently Montessori students completed work on the Liturgical Colors. They learned about the colors, their meanings, could 'dress the priest' to indicate the season, and arrange nomenclature cards. They also enjoyed visiting the sacristy to see the real chasubles worn for Mass!

Today we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe! In 1531, Our Lady appeared to St. Juan Diego, and left a miraculous image of herself on his tilma, or cloak.

On Friday Mrs. Wojtaszek's STREAM Group was busy mixing and measuring frosting ingredients, which they spread on "Mary" cookies to go along with the Immaculate Conception.

The countdown to Christmas continues! Our students came together for daily prayer again this morning as we await the birth of our Lord, and Mrs. D'Angelo lit the second Advent candle on our wreath. #ChristmasCountdown #Advent #Peace

Our HSA hosted a Family Movie Night this evening complete with all the classic movie snacks! "The Grinch" may be playing on the screen, but we see all smiles in the audience! #movienight #grinch #popcornplease

Students came together with our parish family to celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception this morning. Grade 5 led us in the liturgy, and Fr. Art got students thinking and involved in Mass with his engaging questions. #schoolMass #ImmaculateConception #popquiz

The whole school gathered in the gym again today to light our advent wreath and pray. Then our students watched "You are Special", a Max Lucado film about caring more about what God thinks about you than others. #advent #characterEd

Tomorrow is the last day for students to visit our "Merry Moose Shop"! All ages have enjoyed making a budget, shopping for their family members, and bringing home gifts they've chosen themselves. Now hopefully they can keep the gifts a surprise until Christmas!

This morning we lit our Advent wreath together and celebrated St. Nicholas Day! Our 2nd grade led us in prayer, handed out candy canes blessed by Fr. Joe, and even dressed up to represent the Saint! Jolly old St. Nick also visited classrooms and left treats for students!

Miss Reeves' biology students are wrapping up their studies on ecosystems and food chains by dissecting owl pellets. Some students enjoyed this activity more than others, if you couldn't tell by their facial expressions 😉

Happy St. Nicholas Day!
A Prayer to Saint Nicholas of Myra: O good St. Nicholas, you who are the joy of the children, put in my heart the spirit of childhood. Bring us all in reverence to the Holy Child of Bethlehem, when true joy and peace are found. Amen.

Our Montessori friends went to Art today with Mrs. Genovese and made Christmas stockings in preparation for St. Nicholas Day tomorrow! They used a variety of materials like cut ribbon, markers, cotton balls, and cut paper.

SMS parents - don't forget to send your students in with their envelopes and shopping money for the "Merry Moose" Christmas Shop, running Dec. 6-8!

SMS students began the first week of Advent today by gathering in the gym for morning prayer and announcements. The Advent candle was lit by our principal, Mrs. D'Angelo, and the students will continue to come together daily to start their day with prayer until Christmas!
