Our 4th graders helped lead the school in a decade of the Rosary. We are so blessed to have blessing Catholic leaders here at SMS.

Parents, don't forget...
TODAY: 20th Annual SMS Pumpkin Carving Party at Spoth's Farm Market, sponsored by Dengler, Roberts & Perna Funeral Homes
TOMORROW: Trunk or Treat in the school parking lot, 6:30 - 7:30 pm

Students in our K-3 Science classes have been wondering lately! This creative bulletin board allows students to put up a "bubble" with something they're wondering about. When their question is answered the bubble gets "popped" with a push pin. What a great way to teach young scientists to be inquisitive! #science #STREAM #wonder 🔬👩🔬

SMS teachers have been getting into the Halloween spirit lately with the students! From piñatas and Dia de los Muertos sugar skulls, to broomsticks, pumpkins, and cats, our halls and classrooms are festive for sure! #culture #Halloween #makinglearningfun

Our 3rd and 4th graders went on a field trip to the BPO today! They learned how unique people and instruments in the orchestra come together to make beautiful music. Students explored rhythm, melody, harmony, and the instrument families of the orchestra. 🎼🎶🎵

Mrs. Genovese has combined Art and Lifeskills for our middle school girls. They have been working on sewing pillows and we have seen some amazing results!

Our Montessori students love learning about ALL of God's creatures, even the crawly, eight-legged variety! Miss Krista caught this seasonally appropriate arachnid today, and students were able to observe and appreciate it. 🕷💙😳 #montessori

Our students and teachers wore RED today in honor of Red Ribbon Week. Millions of people across the US are celebrating Red Ribbon Week Oct. 23-31, by pledging to live drug-free lives, just as our students did this morning. #LivingDrugFree #DEARedRibbon

“We can never tell how patient or humble a person is when everything is going well with him. But when those who should cooperate with him do the exact opposite, then we can tell." - St. Francis of Assisi

Our Montessori students made applesauce this week! They participated in all the steps of the process: washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring! Once cooked, they taste-tested and recorded data on who liked it, as well their preferences for different types of apples.

Our 4th grade students participated in the liturgy at Mass today by sharing a reading, reading the prayers of the faithful, and bringing up the offertory. Father Joe presided and spoke with the students about the meaning of "grace". #FridayMass #grace #catholicEd

Children's Liturgy of the Word (PK-GR. 4) at 9 AM Sunday Mass each week. "I love hearing what the children know about their faith! It is a blessing to be able to reiterate to them that they are loved greatly by God!" Jennifer G.

We've got a trio of vintage photos for #throwbackThursday: a clown at the school picnic with the old school in the background, a Christmas concert, and First Communicants! Recognize anyone or want to take a guess at the years these were taken? Comment below! #stmarys175😊🐝💙📸
