Christmas tree still up? Still nibbling on Christmas cookies? That's okay, because it's still Christmas according to Catholics! Christmas Day is not the finale of the Christmas season, but rather its beginning. We transition from Advent, a season of preparation to one of celebration, which lasts until the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.

👑👑👑🌟Today, we celebrated the Epiphany of the Lord, or Three Kings Day by blessing our classroom doors, & celebrating the visit of the Magi to the infant Jesus, signifying Christ's revelation to the world. Our 4th grade class put on a beautiful Nativity play before Christmas break that including the visit of the Three Kings to the infant Jesus.

👏 Congratulations to Mrs. Whipple & all of our students who received Virtue Awards for the month of November for showing patience!

We also recognized students who received Diocesan Character Trait Awards for resilience, devotion, gratitude, & perseverance. The students who received Character Trait Awards were selected by their peers for displaying these amazing traits.

Lastly, the St. Mary's Knights of Columbus were present to award certificates to some of our students who won their annual Soccer Challenge.

🏀❄️ SISTER SHEILA TOURNAMENT UPDATE: With a travel advisory in effect because of the lake effect weather system moving through our region today and into the next few days, this will affect travel of our teams, especially from the Southtowns as well as our referee.

Out of an abundance of caution we are postponing tonight's finals games. Once a new date and time are confirmed for the games we will let everyone know. Stay safe and warm everyone!

Let's hear it for the girls! Our JV Girls games began today in the Sr. Sheila Tournament & the contests did not disappoint! We can't wait for tomorrow & round 2!

❄️🏀 The icy weather outdoors last night didn't stop the court from heating up inside during the Sister Sheila JV tournament! A fantastic first round of games were played, with teams giving it their all & providing some entertaining contests to watch. The following teams came out with a win, but all teams will be back this am for the bracket semifinals:
