𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 #𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀: REALIZE 2 weeks ago, we set out on a quest in search of the key to becoming great leaders, and we solved the mystery. The first letter from each of the daily habits spells out “FACTOR”- Fearless, Adapt, Care, Talk ‘em up, Original, and Realize. Today is when we REALIZE that we have all the traits necessary to become the “X-FACTOR” and change the world! 𝗔𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿: The Apex leadership lessons finished today and discovered what it means to be the “X-FACTOR”. Awesome job! Congratulations to our 2nd and 5th grade classes! They received frozen treat parties from Gregarious for having the most sign ins on their Apex account. Way to go! Thanks for helping to support the security fund for SMS!

Our 8th graders have been enjoying special privileges this year since it’s their last year at SMS! Recently, they enjoyed a pizza lunch, movie, & some drinks from Tim Hortons in our Kindergarten classroom! Thank you, Mrs. Kotlik! SMS Parents! Our Apex Fundraiser is underway and we need your help! This fundraiser is designed not to burden parents. Rather, Apex's powerful Share Wizard allows you to reach out to family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, business associates etc who are willing to help our school add much needed security improvements. Other local Buffalo catholic schools have experienced great results in their Apex fundraisers by using the Share Wizard by having students get 10-20 "shares". The St. Mary’s Bowling league held their final game of the season today. Mr. Urbanski, who coordinated the league shared, "The kiddos had a great season… so much improvement this year!" Thank you for coordinating this wonderful intramural sport for us, Jeremy!

WHERE AT SMS IS HOLLY? Holly was upstairs visiting the 4th grade today while they were reading and then saw them off safely to Religion class. She is the best! 🐾

LEADERSHIP LESSON DAY 1 - FEARLESS Over the next 2 weeks Apex will take students on a quest in search of the key to becoming great leaders and learn some important habits along the way. We’ll highlight a different leadership habit each day so families can continue the conversation at home. Our first Apex leadership habit is FEARLESS. Being fearless means we’re willing to push ourselves outside of our comfort zone. It means we’re willing to take the first step into the unknown, even if we fail! At Home Conversation Starter: Ask your child if they have ever been afraid to try something new because they thought they wouldn’t be able to do it well. Talk to them about ways to break down a big challenge into smaller pieces so it is easier to overcome. #ApexLeadershipCo #ApexXFACTOR #BuildingLeaders
