Miss Reeves' 7th grade students explored static electricity with balloons, their hair, and the walls. They discussed how electrons were transferred between the objects causing their findings with the balloons.

An educator from the Buffalo Zoo visited our 1st & 2nd grade Science classes this week, & showed students real skins, eggs, nests, & a LIVE box turtle named "Turtlini". The zoo program will continue for the next few weeks and culminate with a zoo field trip for grades 1 & 2!
Our Montessori students have been learning some parables that teach about the Kingdom of God. This one demonstrated the parable of the leaven. Pi or π, is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. Congratulations to SMS 8th-grader Brady Mentkowski, who earned a spot in the Erie County Music Educators Association's Junior High North All-County band! Brady played french horn at the all-county band concert on March 9th, and takes lessons at SMS through Paul Effman Music.
