Today we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Mother Angelica, founder of the international broadcast cable television network Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) is quoted as saying this about saying the rosary:
“You know what Our Lady said about the Rosary? That the whole world would change if everybody said it…. If my Mother says, ‘Say it,’ I’m gonna say it.”
Even our youngest SMS students learn to say the rosary in their Religion classes, and are encouraged to say it at home with their families.

Fr. Tom came in to visit our Montessori and Kindergarten students yesterday, and give a special blessing to some very special friends! In honor of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Fr. Tom blessed all the (stuffed) animals that students brought in. #stfrancis #animals #blessed

Over the years the bird's eye (or bee's eye?) view of our campus has changed quite a bit, as the parish and school have continued to grow and build for the future. #StMarys175 #throwbackthursday

Mrs. Kotlik's kindergarten class was on the run today for the Sr. Sheila Memorial Marathon! 💙🐝☺️

SPARK! is Wednesday, October 4th at 7 PM in room 109. Young adults ages 18-25 are encouraged to come and check out this peer group designed just for you. Bring a friend, all are welcome. Meet others and share in fellowship.

Last week we celebrated the feast of the Archangels, and today we celebrate the feast of the Guardian Angels. Our new bulletin board up today reminds students to "Bee" an angel to others, and embody the monthly diocesan character virtues set forth for the year. We also encourage SMS students to pray the St. Michael and Guardian Angel prayers, for help in living out virtuous lives. #MondayMotivation #BeeAnAngelToOthers #CharacterEd

Miss Reeves' 7th grade science classes are learning the different ways to measure matter!

Miss Reeves' 6th grade science class came back from their space jumps and wanted to share two things: the first is how sore they were after jumping so many times and second being the relationship that exists between mass and gravity.

Profe Maria not only teaches our students the Spanish language but we are learning about Hispanic artists and recreating their artistic styles.

What's for lunch?? Now that's an easy question to answer! Simply check what you may have ordered for your student(s) by clicking the "LUNCH" icon on the SMS website or App, (found under "MENU"), and view the menus for the week!

Mrs. Kotlik might be a little biased, but she’s pretty sure she has the most amazing teacher assistants around! 😉🤍🐝💙 #kindergarten #smartboards #SMStheplacetoBEE

Today Mrs. Gengo and Miss Kerwin took their 4th and 5th graders to the Williamsville Planetarium! The students loved getting to explore space, all the planets, moons, and galaxies! 🪐🌎✨🌒#explorespace #scienceisfun #STREAM

Here at SMS, we of course have a special devotion to our patron saint, the Blessed Mother, and enjoy celebrating her many feast days. Today we celebrate the feast day of Our Lady, Undoer of Knots. This popular devotion to Mary is to take the things that are “tangled” in our lives and to entrust them to Mary.
Prayer to Our Lady Undoer of Knots:
Mother of fair love, I look to you. Take into your hands the ribbon of my life, and see the snarl of knots that keeps me bound to sin, anxiety, and hopelessness.
I beg you, Mother, by your powerful intercession and long fingers of love and grace, undo the knots in my heart and in my life.
Free me to love as Christ loves. Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for us!

Mrs. Wojtaszek's 2nd graders gathered in prayer around our flag pole today. Students at schools all across America annually gather at their school’s flagpole on the fourth Wednesday in September to pray for their schools, friends, teachers, government, and nation.

Miss Reeves' 6th grade Earth Science students are exploring mass and gravity. Today they measured how far they can jump on Earth. Tomorrow they will do some conversions to see how far their "Earthly" distance translates to distances on other planets based on their different forces of gravity.
